- Fill in all of your contact information. If you are submitting work for someone else, fill in your contact info and fill in the name of the person you are submitting for in the “writer name” field.
- Fill in the title of the work you are submitting.
- Use the browse button to find the file on your computer that you would like to submit. Select the file and click on the open button. Your file will then appear in the “file” field.
- If you wish you can fill in the comments field with any additional information you’d like to send, then click submit.
- You will then have the option to review your information and confirm that it is correct. Hit continue and you’re done.
- By submitting this application you affirm that the fiction sample included with the application is an original work of creative expression independently created by the writer; that the writer is a current resident of one of the five boroughs and will remain in New York City for the entire year of the fellowship; that the writer is not a student enrolled in degree-granting programs in 2027; and that the writer has not yet had a novel or short story collection published by a major or independent publisher and is not currently under contract with a publisher for a work of fiction.
