Books by Mail Memberships
Our version of Netflix™ for books. In addition to all the benefits of membership, you can select up to six books per month through our online catalog or over the phone with our librarians, and receive and return them by mail with our pre-addressed return envelope.

Proust Memberships
Proust Memberships include all the features of a regular Membership plus free admission to Proust classes and free admission to lectures and events.

Benefactor Memberships
We must continuously make repairs to our beautiful but aging building. We hope you will consider purchasing a Benefactor Membership, which includes a tax-deductible donation that goes directly to help defray the costs of repairs to our roof, elevator, plumbing and lighting, and ongoing refurbishment of our public spaces. In addition to the good feeling you get from helping the Center for Fiction, you receive all the features of membership, plus books-by-mail privileges. Benefactor members and donors are thanked by name in our Literarian newsletter and on our website.

The Center relies on a variety of resources for ongoing support. Memberships cover only a small part of our expenses. Your contributions help so much and are vital to ensuring we can continue our free and low cost public programming, preserving our unique building on East 47th Street, and confirming our role as a center of culture and literature in New York City. Harold's Fund
