The Center for Fiction is collecting book donations for The Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young WomenThe Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women is a Title 1 school located in downtown Brooklyn serving an all-girls, urban population. UAI is designed to encourage and foster the achievement of young women in math, science, and technology. The novels listed below will be incorporated in ELA classrooms, providing texts that speak to the different academic needs and diverse reading levels and interests of UAI’s student body. They will also assist in the goal of encouraging all students, regardless of current reading level, to become active, life-long readers. You can purchase copies through our website or send or bring your donation to us.
